"Behold, I am
sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be aware
and wise as serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless,
and without falsity) as doves. Be on guard against men
[whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God]; for
they will deliver you up to councils and flog you in their
synagogues, and you will be brought before governors and
kings for My sake, as a witness to bear testimony before
them and to the Gentiles (the nations), but when they
deliver you up, do not be anxious about how or what you are
to speak; for what you are to say will be given you in that
very hour and moment, for it is not you who are speaking,
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you...So have
no fear of them; for nothing is concealed that will not be
revealed, or kept secret that will not become known"
(Amplified Bible, Matthew 10:16-20, 26).
As I sat down to watch Dr. Rice
deliver her statement before the 9/11 Commission, the above
scripture bubbled up from my spirit. I watched Dr. Rice
enter the room. There were so many cameras and people
pressed together. I watched the president's national
security advisor make her way through the crowd, greeting
individuals along her way. As she reached the table, where
she would be giving here statement and answering the
Commission's questions, I was struck with the military
personnel following behind her with documents, enough for
each person laid on the table.
Quickly, the meeting came to
order. There were opening statements from the Chair (which
was brief) and Vice-Chair of the Commission (which was
considerably longer). But, what moved my spirit was Dr.
Rice herself, when she stood up, raised her right hand and
swore to tell the truth "so help me God."
I went immediately into deep
intercession (Romans 8:26-27). I also began weeping. Then,
I sensed that the Lord was showing me that what was
happening in the "natural" was a forerunner for us, as
soldiers in a war against powers and principalities that we
have been forewarned we will face, by our Lord Jesus the
Anointed One Himself!
Let me state clearly that I
strongly support President Bush and his administration. I
also intercede for this administration with everything that
the Lord has deposited, imparted and activated in me for
service in His army.
I have also been a Republican
all or certainly most of my adult life. But, truthfully, I
was not passionate about the "Burning Bush" until
Inauguration Day. At that time, the Lord gave me an open
vision of our President and what the Lord plans for George
W. Bush to accomplish during God's appointed time for this
Bush presidency.
But, today was a very different
revelation. Watching the honorable Dr. Condoleezza Rice, it
was as though I could see what some of us, in the army of
God will be facing in the days to come.
Witnessing the hatred for our
President in America from his political opponents and after
watching the interrogation that his national security
advisor endured, continues to make it clear to me that we
are not fighting against flesh and blood. The finger
pointing and clear accusations made against President Bush
and Dr. Rice and her resolute, but respectful answers showed
me that "we", the Church, must wake up!
There have been countless
prophetic words given to the Church exhorting us to wake
up. But, dear ones, Condoleezza Rice had done her homework,
her statements were documented on point after point. And,
her years of "preparation" had made her ready "for such a
time as this!"
From the above scripture, it is
absolutely true that "what you are to say will
be given you in that very hour and moment, for it is not you
who are speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking
through you" (Matthew 10:19b-20).
Friends, God has us in spiritual
boot camp for the very reason of preparing us for what is to
come! The question today is this: are we willing to endure
to the end? ...to contend? ...to overcome? WAR is very
difficult, and there are always casualties in war, but
victory is assured. "Then I heard a loud voice
saying in heaven, 'Now salvation and strength, and the
kingdom of our God, and the Power of Christ have come, for
the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God
day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by
the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives to death. Therefore
rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the
inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has
come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that
he has a short time'" (Revelation 12:10-12).
So, now is the time
"...to set your mind on things above, not on things on the
earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in
God. When the Anointed One who is our life appears, then
you also will appear with Him in glory"
(Colossians 3:2-4).
Continue on, faithful Church, in
prophetic intercession for our President and those who
faithfully serve him. Also, grow in wisdom and
understanding that what you are enduring will cause you to
break forth in greater knowledge, understanding and power.
Your faith will also ensure you of being counted both
faithful and worthy to undergo the battles that lie ahead.
